How To Get Involved
Volunteer at the Hub:
How much time would I have to give up?
The hub is open every day except Saturdays so we would require a commitment of one session per week from our volunteers.
Do I have to volunteer every week?
One session per week would be required. This enables volunteers to keep up to date with changes and build a relationship with our regular visitors. There are also other events run throughout the year that volunteers would be invited to attend.
What training or other requirements do I need to complete in order to Volunteer
If you would like to volunteer full training would be provided. This would be in the form of an induction session with our hub coordinator and an online food hygiene course which all volunteers must attend in order for us to maintain our 5 star food hygiene rating. Also, via shadow sessions where you would work alongside other experienced volunteers before being allocated a shift.
How do I sign up?
Sign up is easy. Just hit the Contact us button above and fill out the online form, or call us on 07493 722427 or email us at tiptreecommunityhub@gmail.com.
Volunteer as a Food Collector:
How much time would I have to give up?
Food collections are at various days and times throughout the week. We would ask that you commit to one collection per week if possible. Collection times range from mornings, lunchtimes and evenings. Food collectors need to collect the donation from stores in the local area and deliver it to the hub where the food then needs to be sorted and stored appropriately. You are required to have your own transports. Mileage can be reimbursed.
Do I have to volunteer every week?
One collection per week would be required. We are always looking to expand our donators so the more collectors we have, the more donators we can reach. A car is required for these collections.

Limited time but wish to offer support in other ways (donate, easy funding etc)?
